History of Eustace Forth
7063, No.15 ‘Eustace Forth’ was built in 1942 at the Forth Bank Works in Newcastle for working at Dunston Power Station in Gateshead.
After a life of shunting coal it was saved by Hexham Rolling Stock Group and initially went to North Yorkshire Moors Railway and then onto National Railway Museum where in its green livery it was known to play Percy in Thomas the Tank Engine events.
The loco moved to Foxfield Railway in 2014 before moving back to North Yorkshire Moors Railway and then at the end of 2018 it went on loan to Northampton & Lamport Railway before moving to it’s current home at Peak Rail in 2020!
