History of Class 47 D1501
Built in 1962, D1501 is one of the 512 class 47s that were built at Brush’s Falcon works in Loughborough and British Railways’ Crewe Works.
It ran at the East Lancashire Railway from 1993 until it arrived at Peak Rail in June 2022!
