Murder Mystery – The Pullman Theft

Colonel Holman Stevens, the railway magnate, has called upon the services of Sherlock Holmes to investigate the ongoing thefts from his Pullman trains, which are believed to be the work of a ruthless gang. Meanwhile the mysterious Captain Basil, a famous explorer, is on board a Pullman train returning to England with a valuable haul of gold coins, which he is to present to the British Museum. A murder follows but the body appears to be that of an innocent passenger, one Doctor Dietler. Who is Captain Basil? Why was a murder committed? What is the motive for the subsequent blackmail aboard the train? Join Sherlock Holmes and Doctor Watson as they unravel no less than three crimes in this complex case.

The Cast
Doctor Dietler: Seems to be a lone passenger with no past history onboard a train where theft and murder will soon take place.
Franck: Knows that his mother is in trouble, but how far will he go to help her?
Sherlock Holmes: The famous consulting detective.
Inspector Lestrade: This Scotland Yarder is methodical and like a dog with a bone. Unfortunately he is often erroneous in his deductions.
Pullman Steward: A hero of the railway who nearly caught the thief on a previous occasion. Is he really such a loyal servant?
Federick Von Heissen: Apparently has nothing to do with the theft but is suspected by Holmes of being pivotal in the crime.
Colonel Holman Stevens: His railway is short of money. Could this be a motive for theft?
Doctor Watson: Solid and dependable but always one step behind Sherlock Holmes.
Maria Zinden: She knew of the gold coins and is in need of money herself as she flees her country of Urania.
Menu & dietary requirements: All our trains have a fixed menu, and food must be pre ordered at time of booking. Due to catering constraints, we are unable to offer an alternative to the menu except for a vegetarian option. We do not offer Gluten Free or any other dietary requirements.
Please note that it is impossible for us to provide an alternative to the fixed menu if we are only advised on the day.
Allergies: Due to the size of our kitchens, we are unable to cater/ take any responsibility for allergies. Our food is all prepared in the same environment so may contain or have been in close contact with common allergens such as dairy, eggs, wheat, soyabeans, fish, shellfish, or any type of nut.
We will do our best to make sure all your food is correct and prepared separately; however, it would have to be your decision whether to dine with us. If you choose to go ahead, we will require the passengers with the allergy to sign a disclaimer on the day.
Dogs: No dogs except assistance dogs are allowed in the dining coach.
Children: Children must always be supervised and remain seated during the service.
Cancellations or Rearrangements: We have a cooling off period of 14 days from date of booking. If during this time you wish to cancel or rearrange your experience, we will be able to do this subject to the following conditions:
Rearrangement: We can alter your booking once, however, there will be no further cooling off period applicable after you have altered your original booking. You must also provide us with your alternative date prior to the change. We are unable to rearrange bookings if no alternative date is supplied.
Refund: For a refund, this will be made less any booking fee applicable to the experience.
Important note: We are unable to rearrange or refund any booking that is made with the incorrect details or with requests we are unable to honour (Such as requesting Gluten Free or other dietary requirements, which we are unable to cater for as per the T & C’s), even if this is within the cooling off period.
We reserve the right to charge an administration fee for any rearrangement of experiences.
We are unable to refund or rearrange any bookings after the 14 days cooling off period has elapsed, or less then 14 days prior to the event.
Seating: Please note you may be seated in either of our historic dining carriages, there is no guarantee made as to which one. Parties of less than 4 may be required to share a table.
Wheelchair access: We regret that owing to historic design of the dining coaches, wheelchair users cannot be accommodated. Please note that passengers with mobility difficulties will need to climb up or down one step. (A ramp is available, please state if required at the time of booking).
