Jackie was such an incredible & inspiring lady. I loved working with her, especially during the Santa’s. I helped in the ticket office & looked forward to our chats about many things, but mostly the railway. She was so generous with her knowledge & experience which fascinated me. How lucky was I, to know her & spend time with her. I will miss her so much & remember her always. Sending much love & heartfelt condolences to Claire & family X

Peak rail have been so very fortunate to have had Jackie in charge. I recall some years back when I was made redundant and had time to be able to come up to the Railway to undertake various jobs but sadly due to my redundancy had no money to buy fuel with. Jackie so very kindly offered to pay for this over the coming months thus enabling me to continue attending the railway pending me getting back into full time employment. Thank you Jackie. this was an exceptional gesture. You will always be remembered. Sincere condolences to Claire and family.

I didn’t know Jackie socially but I always looked forward to meeting her and walking on the Peak Rail route which, despite dificulties, was managed, operated and maintained by excellent teams. Jackie ran a very good railway – a reference standard for the practical application of the The Railways and Other Transport Systems … Regulations 1994 – a practical standard which will be managed by those with whom Jackie worked and retained.
My condolences to Claire and family.
