BRITISH RAILWAYS MARK 1
RMB No.1835
No.1835 is a restaurant miniature buffet built in 1960. After withdrawal from passenger service it spent a number of years in departmental use. Subsequent attention by vandals put it in horrendous condition upon it's arrival at Darley Dale. It has since seen some restoration, although further attention to its bodywork is required. In use.

RBR No.1970
Completed in 1961, this restaurant buffet refurbished combines a well equipped kitchen area with a buffet and passenger seating. A more recent arrival at Darley Dale, after extensive body repairs, internal refurbishment, repairs to the kitchen equipment and conversion to vacuum braking it is now providing a dining service.

SLF No.2080
Built in 1959, this first class sleeping car arrived at Darley Dale in the early days of the site, from the Dart Valley Railway, as overnight accommodation for volunteers. Currently undergoing a complete internal refit and body restoration after professional removal of asbestos.
FO No 3086

TSOs Nos.3825, 4623, 4974 & 4976
TSO, or tourist second open, No.3825 was constructed in 1953, and was originally used on the Keighley and Worth Valley Railway. The coach has since been purchased by the 48624 group at Peak Rail. No.4623 was built in 1957 and spent it's last years with BR working steam specials on the West Highland Line in Scotland which accounts for it's present livery, awaiting restoration. No.4974 represents the later internal design, being built in 1962. This coach arrived at Darley Dale in 1994, and is undergoing major restoration at present. 4976 is from the South Yorkshire Railway, arriving in 2002, and is now in service, though needing further repairs.

SOs Nos.4476
The second opens were similar to the TSOs, but sat passengers in a different configuration. These two were built in the mid 50's, and require substantial body repairs as part of their restoration.
CKs Nos. 7663 & 7943
The CKs, or composite corridors contained some first class, and some second class compartments. Nos. 7663 and 7943 were built in 1956, and await restoration.

SKs Nos.26025, 26043
The SK, or second corridor, seated passengers in eight separate compartments. These were all constructed in the early 1960s. Originally purchased for use as part of a privately owned set for main line running, this scheme later had to be abandoned and the vehicles were purchased for use by Peak Rail. No. 26025 is under restoration. No. 26043 is in service after a maroon repaint and some repairs, but requires attention to rotten gangway mounts and end panelling. No. 26049 is in service. No. 26014 is stored awaiting restoration.

BSK No.35193
Built in 1958 as a brake second corridor, with four passenger compartments and a parcels and guards area. Currently under restoration.

BGs Nos. 92158 & 84554
The BGs were termed brake gangwayed, and were rated for use in passenger trains, but provided accommodation only for a guard and parcels. These two were built in 1958.

Built as a general utility van by in 1958 and now at Darley Dale after a spell as a shop at Buxton.

Bullion Van No. 99204
Converted in 1965 from a 1955 built BSK into a special purpose vehicle for carrying Bullion around the country.
Saw some departmental use by British Rail Telecoms after this. Acquired by Peak Rail in 2001 from Thales for conversion ino a 'mobile village hall'. Numbered 34995 99204 889302 025030 over the years.

BRITISH RAILWAYS MARK 2
SO No. 5235
The Mark 2 design incorporated many improvements (or so they thought at the time) to the Mk1, SO 5235 being built in 1966. After arrival at Darley Dale much cleaning work was required due to heavy internal soot contamination. Currently in use as a dining car, further attention is required to doors and gangway floors.

BSO No. 9394
Constructed in 1966 also, 9394 is a brake second open. This vehicle has seen extensive use at Peak Rail, now under restoration.

BFK No. 14060
Built as a brake first corridor at Derby in 1967, 14060 seats first class passengers in four compartments. In service, though further work to the electrics and doors is required.

BSO No. 9404 (ex BSOT 9105)

Constructed in 1966 at Derby again, this vehicle is a brake second open modified by the addition of a small bar in the place of a pair of seats. A recent arrival, and now fully restored with disabled access.
LMS COACHES
TO No. M9205M
Mess and Tool Van No. DM395923, originally built as an LMS third open in 1936, converted to it's present form in 1965, and purchased by Peak Rail in 1989, after use in the Buxton breakdown train. Provides invaluable accommodation, transport and mobile workshop facilities for on track working parties.
TK No. M1295M
Also numbered DM395498. This 1924 built third corridor is known as a period 1 LMS coach, being of the earliest style, being basically a Midland Railway design. In 1959 it passed into departmental use. Awaiting restoration.

BCK No. M6815M
Also numbered DS70247. This 1935 built brake corridor composite is known as a period 3 LMS coach, and has also been in departmental use. Although little has been done to this vehicle and the previous example since their arrival, much time has been spent acquiring missing parts for when their restorations commence.

BTK No. M27001M
Built by BR to an LMS design in 1950, this vehicle was used by the Manchester Ship Canal Railway after withdrawal from BR use in 1965. Later the coach passed to the Duke of Gloucester Locomotive Trust, and arrived at Darley Dale in 1994. Under restoration.

BCK No. M6720M
Also numbered 9864 and DM395845. Formerly a period 1 coach, later repanelled to resemble a period 3 coach, and later still modified for use as a mess facility in the Toton breakdown train. Initially preserved at the Midland Railway Centre.

TK No. M1501M
Also numbered 3030 when built, and DM396801 in departmental use. A period 2 coach, built at Derby in 1930 for front line service on the Royal Scot. To be used as an exhibition vehicle at Darley Dale in the medium term, and be available for passenger photographic charters.
TO No. M9125M
A period 3 coach, built at Wolverton in 1935. Also numbered KDM395892. Saw departmental service as a cinema coach. An open coach, with a half seating bay. Should arrive from Carnforth in 2000.
TO No. M27109M
A period 3 coach, built at Wolverton in 1945. Arrived from Carnforth in 2000. Saw departmental service as an office.
TO No. M7828M
A period 1 coach, on loan from the NRM, arrived in 2003. Under restoration.
RK No. M30005M
Kitchen car built at Derby in 1924, later rebuilt as a Track Recording Coach, No. DM395223. Arrived at Rowsley from the MHR in 2002.
BG No. M31216M
Built 1941. A recent arrival from Wakefield.
