Spring Diesel Weekend
- 10th and 11th May 2008

Peak Rail are delighted to announce the line-up and arrangements for our forthcoming diesel weekend, which will take place during the weekend of 10th and 11th May 2008. The event will feature 31 270, 37 152, D8 Penyghent and D9016 Gordon Highlander on passenger trains between Matlock Riverside and Rowsley South.





The event will also feature 31 270, 37 152, D9016 and D8 Penyghent working on demonstration freight services throughout the day, passing the passenger services at Darley Dale station.


A selection of locomotives from the Heritage Shunters Trust will be used for hauling brake van trains at Rowsley South, using the groups LMS Brake Van and the Derbyshire Dales Narrow Gauge Railway will also be operating services on the Narrow Gauge Railway at Rowsley South.





Also at Rowsley South, visitors will be able to view and photograph locomotives not in use, such as the Heritage Shunters Trust fleet, 37 188 and 50 029 Renown and 50 030 Repulse.

Steam BTU in Action This train will consist of a variety of Peak Rail's operational freight vehicles and will not be available for public use. The times provided are to be used as a guideline to the schedule to be operated by the demonstration freight trains over the weekend of 10th and 11th May.
