PEAK RAILWAY ASSOCIATION – CHESTERFIELD BRANCH PROGRAMME 2017

16th May – ‘My Life on the Buses’ – Jim began his career on London Transport in 1965 and retired, a fair few years and destinations later, from Doncaster

20th June – A selection of British Transport films on a theme yet to be decided

18th July – To be advised

15th August – ‘The ‘Jubilees’ at Millhouses Shed’

19th September – A presentation of his own slides and film from pretty well anywhere, and everywhere,  in the world – I do not know where tonight’s journeys will take us.

17th October – This could be another episode of ’55 Years of Railway Photography’ which would deposit us in many locations or it could be an in-depth look at the local scene. In either case we are assured of a very entertaining evening.

21st November – Manchester to Liverpool via the Cheshire Lines Committee – Ken’s research and extensive knowledge of his subjects allows him to talk without reference to notes.

19th December – ‘Toy Train to the Sky’ – David is editor of the journal and a board member of the ‘Darjeeling Himalayan Railway Society’ in addition to being a renowned member of the Guild of Railway Artists.

Meetings are held at the ‘Hasland Working Men’s Club’,  Hampton Street, Chesterfield. S41 0LH Tel: 01246 273660, one mile east of Chesterfield on the old main road to Mansfield.

Parking at the club is very limited but there is unrestricted on street parking within 100 – 200 yards.
