Easter 2012 will see Peak Rail working in partnership with Derbyshire Dales District Council in providing a Visitor Information Service which will be housed in the newly refurbished shop situated on Platform 1 at Matlock Station.

Visitors to the region will be able to obtain free leaflets about attractions and events happening in the Peak District and Derbyshire and make enquires regarding local transport providers.

The shop also stocks a comprehensive range of books and maps in addition to walks, leaflets and guides. Gifts and mementos can also be purchased. These include souvenirs and gifts of the Dales, locally produced crafts and prints and range of greeting and postcards.
