4th & 5th August 2012 - Peak Rail 1940’s Weekend

Journey back in time to the era that was the 1940’s as we remember with pride the people
who lived and worked through World War II.

An action packed weekend for all the family with a whole host of re-enactors creating authentic scenes of this bygone age.

German Paratroopers and Allied forces will captivate you will their magnificent battle re-enactment, fire power demonstration and mock rifle range, utilising a whole host of blank firearms, ammunition and pyrotechnics.

Vintage cars, motorcycles, military and armoured vehicles will be on display for your enjoyment.

Other displays on show will include the home guard, RAF dispersal, military weapons, medical equipment, war correspondents, radio equipment, make do and mend and a genuine field kitchen.


Entertainment as always will be in the hands of Paul Harper (E.N.S.A) who will be supported by Marina Mea, the Matlock Musical Theatre and Paul Casper appearing as George Formby.

The Dove Holes Brass Band will be playing songs rallying the troops and in attendance will be Notty Hornblower staging a 1940’s Fashion Show.
